In the world of entrepreneurship, we often find ourselves wearing many hats and juggling numerous responsibilities. As a business concierge, I assist my clients with exactly this – managing their tasks and helping them stay on top of their game. But what happens when the person who helps others manage their time falls short? Well, that’s a story for today.
This week, I find myself immersed in family celebrations and adventures, leaving my usual routine of batching out business social media posts by the wayside. While some might see this as a failure, I see it as a reminder of the importance of balance and prioritizing what truly matters.
In the midst of deadlines and expectations, it’s easy to forget that we are not machines, AI. We need time to rest, rejuvenate, and connect and in some instances re-connect with our loved ones. Sometimes, the most important task is not the one that’s business-related, but the one that nourishes our soul and brings us joy.
This week, I choose to prioritize more than usual, family celebrations over posting on social media. And while I did feel a pang of guilt for not having my content ready, I quickly realized that it’s okay to take a step back. After all, social media will always be there, but the precious moments with our loved ones are fleeting.
So, what’s my Tech Tip Tuesday for this week? It’s simple: Use the camera on your iPhone, in my case two film cameras and my iPhone, to capture those fleeting moments. Social media can wait until tomorrow. Sometimes, the best tech tip is to disconnect from tech altogether.
As entrepreneurs, we often feel the pressure to do it all, to be constantly present, and to keep pushing forward. But it’s important to remember that it’s okay to take a break. It’s okay to prioritize YOU over your business. And it’s okay to admit that you’re human and that you need time to rest and recharge.
So, as we navigate through this entrepreneurial journey, let’s remember to be kind to ourselves. Let’s remember to prioritize what truly matters. And let’s remember that it’s okay to take a break.
Here are a few things to keep in mind:
- It’s okay to take a break from social media. Your followers will understand.
- Prioritize your mental health. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it’s okay to step back and take a break.
- Capture the moments that matter. Use your phone camera to record precious moments with your loved ones.
- Remember to be kind to yourself. You’re doing the best you can, and that’s enough.
If anything, today’s message is to remind me that everything is as it should be and to take the photo, have the adventure, and just breathe.
Remember, stay MIA – mindful, intentional, and authentic. Happy Tuesday!
